There was a fellow in Sydney who went around scripting the word “Eternity” on the footpaths. His name was Arthur Stace and his aim was to have people see this and think about where they will spend their Eternity.
The Bible in Ecclesiastes 3:11 states that mankind has an awareness of there being an Eternity (so no excuse as we’re all wired in to comprehend this) and John 3:36 defines that we shall be spending our Eternity in either a place of eternal delight or subject to [eternal] wrath.
Imagine your Eternity - if we accept the redemption of Jesus Christ, then we accept the undeserved Grace of a God who Loves us, however, if we reject this freely offered gift we are in effect expressing our disdain for our Creator.
We understand an Eternity in Heaven shall be a place of eternal delight and in the presence of God.
We understand an Eternity in Hell shall be a place of eternal regret without anything good from Creation.
I imagine Hell for me would be something like eternal solitary confinement - with the thought of “if only..”
Which have you chosen?? if you’re still undecided please get in touch.
