LakeMacquarie.boats we registered this domain when we found it available

We now live at the North Western edge of Lake Macquarie just South of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
Lake Macquarie is about 3 time the size of Sydney Harbour and direct access to the Pacific Ocean is on the East side of the Lake at Swansea.
Before relocating here in 2019, we lived on the shore of the Georges River in Sydney at Oatley and our take is that where we are is a bit like Oatley 50 years ago.

We have our boat Havarest moored at the Marina at Marmong Point Lake Macquarie.
Since 2023 we’ve joined in displaying the Eternity message at the Lake Mac Float your Boat festival

My Dad’s favourite song was “this world is not my home” by Jim Reeves and whist where I am now isn’t as good as the promise of Heaven, it’s still about the closest thing to it we can have on earth.
I do find myself rather reluctant about travelling back to the haze of poor OAQ a couple of hours South.
